Basic information
PA Call from the Heart of Nature |
Treskavica, the breathtaking mountain located south of Sarajevo, invites you to forget the rush of everyday life for a day and immerse yourself in a world of fresh air, crystal-clear lakes, and untouched nature. Our adventure begins at dawn, when the first rays of sunlight peek through the windows, promising a day filled with unforgettable experiences. We journey towards the village of Turovi – the gateway to the magic of Treskavica – ready to feel the power of this magnificent mountain. |
Trails of Lakes and Stories |
Our ascent leads us to the mountain lodge Runolist, where we take our first break for breakfast and get ready for the next part of the hike. Ahead of us lies the path to the mountain lakes – crystal-clear mirrors of nature, surrounded by greenery and silence. As we sip coffee and tea beside the Great Lake, nature gently calms us. Every step forward reveals a new shade of beauty. The scent of pine, the song of birds, and the soft mountain breeze become our companions. |
At the Source of Wonder |
After visiting the lakes and returning to the lodge for a well-deserved lunch, the most exciting part of the day awaits – a visit to the spring of the Željeznica River and its hidden cave. Here, nature shows its power – water gushes from the dark stone, creating a scene that leaves everyone in awe. Then we’re welcomed by beekeeper Čolić, a warm-hearted host full of stories about honey and life in harmony with nature. Days like this awaken deep respect for the land, the water, and the people who live closely with them. |
The Crown of the Day |
As thoughts slowly begin to drift back home, Treskavica offers us one last wonder – Kazani on the Željeznica River. Water erosion has sculpted the rocks into fascinating shapes, turning an ordinary stream into a natural gallery.
We end our journey here, enriched by stories, photos, and a deep sense of connection with the mountain. Our return to Sarajevo is planned for the evening hours, and in the quiet of the vehicle, plans for the next visit are already forming – for Treskavica is a mountain you always come back to. So, be part of our experience…… |
